For the movies that i have seen that i have also read the books:
"The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe"- one of my favorite books of all time. amazing story by one of my favorite authors. As for the movie, i thought they did an excellent job. Sure there would be a few things i would change and/or delete/add but for the most part its wonderful.
Harry Potter Books- so far they have done a good job in representing the books in my opinion.
"Pride and Prejudice"- the original BBC version was spot on translation, but then again it was like a million hours long or something. As to the most recent version, not bad for the time contraints and hollywoodization of the story. i was duly impressed.
"High Fidelity" - A great translation of the book...almost perfect casting, and a great translation to film.
"The Hitch Hiker's Guide..." - Another superb translationm, espescially if you have read all the books.
"Jurassic Park" - Not bad but could have been a much closer translation in my opinion, though it has been years since ive seen or read it.
"A Series of Unfortuante Events"
i loved as a movie which lead me to read teh books, and so far i think it was a great representation.
"To Kill a Mockingbird"
Both an amazing story and an amazing movie. i hvae no qualms with this translation to film.
